Chapter 3: Dream On
In the wise words of Aerosmith, “Dream until your dream come true.” As part of being human, we all have dreams and ambitions, some of which come true, and others that don’t. Whether or not our unique dreams ever come to fruition, it is important to dream big and push ourselves every day in order to grow.
Each of us from 7Up has dreams of our own. Dream cities. Dream houses. Dream cars. Dream jobs. Although we could bore you with our individual laundry lists of ambitions, we do find it fitting to share our dream client to work with in the future.
“Growing up a disciplined soccer and field hockey player, I’ve always been inspired by Gatorade commercials featuring professional athletes training hard and pushing their limits. It would be a surreal experience to work for a client like Gatorade and help them to continue inspiring young aspiring athletes. Not to mention, it wouldn’t be too bad working alongside big-name Gatorade-sponsored athletes like Dwayne Wade, Serena Williams and more!”
“While growing up in a family crazy about sports, my love for the St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs have always been strong. Whether it’s watching games on TV or supporting them in person, the competitive atmosphere and ecstatic environment makes being a fan one of my favorite things. It would be such a dream to be able to work with either one of these teams as a client. ”
“There are so many clients I want to work with during my career, Disney has always been a standout. With all the different properties they own from some of the biggest being Marvel and Star Wars, working with a company as star studded as Disney would be amazing! The creative freedom working on projects for them would be almost limitless.”
“As a huge fan of the film industry and movies, my dream client would be a production company, for example, Warner Bros. Taking my professional career and getting to use skills learned and applying them to my personal life would be a dream of mine. Being a part of so many different types of movies, I don’t think work would ever be mundane. When you’re involved on a personal level the work becomes that much better and means more to people.”
“As a huge art history nerd, a dream of mine has always been to work with art museums. I’m super interested in not only art history, but also in lesser known artists and especially those who have been suppressed due to white-washing in museum curation, so being able to make an impact and working on branding and exhibition catalogues would be incredible. The MoMA in particular with its beautiful design and branding would be surreal. ”
“I’ve always had a passion for the fashion and beauty industries, and definitely see myself working in that field later in my career. I’d be honored to work with a designer brand, such as Marc Jacobs. I have always admired the storytelling and aesthetics behind their campaigns, and would love to be on a team creating something like that. ”
“While there are many clients that I would like to work with, I would be most honored to work with someone who is passionate about mental health. The reason for this is because mental health is so prevalent today and it affects many people. It is a dream of mine to work with a client to help kill the mental health stigma and educate others about it. I would like to do this by helping my client market to a target audience and really create a campaign that will resonate with many people. ”
