Chapter 3: Landing

What’s the saying? Third week is the charm? Well, you don’t need luck or magic when you have hard work, creative thinkers, and strong women on your team. The Saterns pulled through with nonstop determination and dedication this week! We killed the final pitch but before we get into that, let’s recap the week:

Monday

Us Saterns were immune to the Monday blues this week. After a weekend of absorbing feedback, we jumped head-first into editing, drafting, and concepting. We refined our strategy and detailed our media plan. As for the creative, we brainstormed concepts that would drive trial and sales, not just promotion.

Tuesday

Taco Tuesday? More like Turkey Tuesday at Greenridge Farm. We narrowed our creative concept down to an event titled “Unfiltered Feast” where customers can try Greenridge Farm products from a delectable food truck and post an unfiltered thought to a wall.

Wednesday

One day until the practice pitch and our fingers are sore from all of this typing! It’s fun to watch as our initials bounce from slide to slide on the campaign deck. Grace, the grammar detective, peeled her eyes for missing commas and run-on sentences. Joerdan, the design expert, brightened the deck with colors and pictures. Our account aficionado, Caroline, organized and researched alongside our prestigious planner, Cindy. Passionate PR strategist, Tayla, made our ideas come to life through real-world examples. And the media master, Angel, brought the brains with a detailed strategy. Good job team!

Thursday

Sometimes those last minute changes are what you need to transform something from good to great. Then, after two practice runs, we felt confident heading into our final pitch — and — drumroll, please —

MISSION SUCCESSFUL!!! We received outstanding feedback from the HLK all-stars and experts. Our team is beaming with pride and dancing behind our zoom screens.

Whooaaa we’re halfway there. Three weeks down. Three more to go. We are pumped for Monday’s Project Two Kickoff. After completing our first campaign, we feel smarter heading into our second one. Let’s get after it!

All of this talk about food has me thinking… Hey Saterns, what is your favorite food?

My favorite food is baked tofu over a bed of rice and sautéed veggies. I can’t forget the soy sauce and sriracha!

Grace Newlin, Copywriter

Chicken strips with buffalo sauce and ranch :)

Caroline Mansfield, Account Manager

My favorite food is cheese pizza!

— Tayla Whitley, PR Manager

It's difficult to choose just one. Recently I've had a craving for Thai yellow curry and chicken. It's definitely one of my top foods!

 — Joerdan Carney, Art Director

One of my favorite foods would have to be classic Korean Bimimbap (rice bowl with Korean meat and lots of veggies)!

— Angel Macaalay, Media Strategist
