This week, we were down to the wire for our practice pitch. Let’s take a look at our challenges and successes of the week.

The challenges. Our task is to promote a new loyalty program and encourage sign-ups… but we don’t know what the details of the program are. With a little extra brain power from our jetpacks, we were able to overcome the obstacle. Finding a tone posed as tricky, compared to the lighthearted tone of Greenridge Farm—especially with professionals as our audience, not the average American. We went back and forth on creative concepts and how to fit our big ideas into a small budget. Given that, we still had to understand what the heck pest management even is! While we hit many bumps in the road, they did not slow us down!

Now, for the positives. We discovered a great insight about our pest management professionals (PMPs): they aren’t just bug killers, they’re business owners. With a solid strategy in place, Cindy passed the baton off to the creative and media teams to bring the insight to life! Quotes from pest controllers helped us get into the minds of PMPs and understand their day-to-day highs and lows. Together, we pulled through with a strong practice pitch campaign! Our feedback will lead us into next week. The internship is almost over and we can’t wait to end it with a bang.

If you had to have an insect for a pet what would it be?

I’m not a big insect person. But beekeeping has always been something that interests me. Not exactly pets, but I’d be more likely to coexist with a beehive than any other creepy crawly.
